Notice at collection

When you submit a funding inquiry, we collect identifiers and contact information, business information, requested funding and revenue ranges, and your communication consent. We use this information to respond, evaluate your request, communicate about commercial financing, prevent fraud and abuse, and operate our business. We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose inquiry information to financing providers to fulfill a request, as described below.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through 17streetcap.com, related pages operated by 17 Street Capital, and communications arising from a website inquiry. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of financing providers or other third parties. If you proceed with a third-party provider, review that provider’s privacy notices before submitting additional information.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Identifiers and contact details, such as your name, email address, and telephone number.
  • Business information, such as business name and details you provide when discussing operations or funding needs.
  • Commercial and financial-range information, such as average monthly revenue range and desired funding range. The initial website form does not request bank credentials, Social Security numbers, payment-card data, or full bank statements.
  • Communications and consent records, including messages, requests, and whether you agreed to be contacted.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security systems may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device characteristics, request timestamps, referring pages, and security events. We currently do not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising technologies.

3. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, from your interactions with our website and communications, from authorized representatives of your business, and from service providers that help us operate, secure, or deliver the website and email communications.

4. How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Assess potential commercial-financing needs and identify possible third-party financing options.
  • Communicate about your inquiry, requested services, and relevant business-financing opportunities, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
  • Verify information, prevent fraud, secure the website, and troubleshoot delivery.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, establish or defend legal claims, and maintain appropriate business records.
  • Analyze and improve our services using aggregated or deidentified information where practical.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

  • Personnel and authorized representatives who need it to respond to your request.
  • Service providers that provide website hosting, email delivery, security, professional advice, or other operational support under appropriate obligations.
  • Financing providers and business partners when you ask us to explore or facilitate potential commercial-financing options. Additional notices or authorizations may apply before credit reports, bank records, or other underwriting documents are obtained.
  • Government authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or respond to valid legal process.
  • A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Some state laws may define other transfers broadly enough to cover a compensated introduction or disclosure to a financing provider. Where such a law applies, we will provide any required notice and honor applicable opt-out rights.

6. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to your inquiry, maintaining business and consent records, meeting legal or contractual obligations, resolving disputes, and preventing fraud. Retention periods depend on the nature of the information, the status of the inquiry, applicable limitation periods, and legal requirements. Information no longer needed is deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of when reasonably practicable.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle. Website submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections and are subject to validation, rate limiting, and abuse controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your inquiry by emailing support@17streetcap.com. Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to us, you may also have rights to know or obtain a copy of personal information, request correction or deletion, limit certain uses of sensitive information, opt out of certain sales, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising, and appeal a decision regarding a privacy request.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If an applicable law treats a financing-provider disclosure or another future practice as a sale or regulated sharing, we will provide the required choice mechanism and honor qualifying requests.

9. Communication preferences

You may ask us to stop marketing emails by using any unsubscribe method included in the message or contacting Support. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP when that option is provided. A request to stop marketing does not prevent necessary transactional or service communications concerning an active request, agreement, or legal obligation.

10. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults acting for commercial businesses. They are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.

12. Contact us

Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@17streetcap.com. Please include enough information for us to understand and respond to your request, but do not email Social Security numbers, bank passwords, payment-card numbers, or other highly sensitive credentials.
